Introduction 簡介
This system was planned and built by Professor Michael Stanley-Baker of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is part of the "Drugs Across Asia project." The system collects 392 Chinese medical manuscripts from the Tang Dynasty to the Republic of China period. It contains a wealth of metadata, including electronic full-text transcriptions of the manuscripts, tagged information and detailed bibliographic data on the sources. Use of these has been generously authorized by Professor Liu Changhua 柳長華 of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.
This system is technically supported by the Digital Humanities Research Center of National Taiwan University. It is released publicly with the context analysis system. This is currently the first edition. In addition to providing metadata, full-text browsing and full-text retrieval, it also provides multiple exploration features such as post-classification, tag analysis, and classification trees.
The potential to conduct research using systematic information represents a major shift in the current ability to study traditional medicine. Through post-classification analysis combined with rich metadata and tags, it is possible to track changing patterns such as authors, text types, and recipe styles across time and regions. Going beyond history to clinical application, future follow-up versions will link traditional drug names with online databases for medicinal chemistry and metabolic activity, as well as modern biodiversity distribution and historical ethnobotany. It is expected that these historical documents of traditional Chinese medicine can be used not only to benefit historical research but also for the discovery of new drugs, the development of natural products, or in traditional medicine research. In this way, by combining medical manuscript studies and modern data technology, this system may serve as a basis for an improved dialogue between recipe formulation principles and modern network pharmacology.

本系統由新加坡南洋理工大學 Michael Stanley-Baker教授規劃建置,屬「跨亞洲藥物計畫(The Drugs Across Asia project)」的一部份,系統主要收錄從唐至民國時期392部中醫藥文獻,內含豐富的元資料(metadata)以及來自中國中醫科學院柳長華教授所授權的文獻電子全文與標記資訊。
本系統由臺灣大學數位人文研究中心技術支援,以脈絡分析系統公開發布,目前為第1版,除提供metadata與全文瀏覽及全文檢索外,更提供了後分類、標記分析、分類樹等多元探索功能。
利用系統化資訊進行研究的潛力代表了當前研究傳統醫學能力的重大轉變。透過metadata及標記的後分類分析,可以跨時間、跨地域,追踪作者以及文本類型和方劑樣式等變化模式。超越歷史走向臨床應用,未來後續版本將與傳統藥物名稱、藥物化學、代謝活動、現代生物多樣性分佈和歷史民族植物學等線上資料庫連繫起來。希望這些中醫藥歷史文獻不僅可以用於歷史研究,還可以用於新藥的發現、天然產物的開發,或傳統醫學研究。期待通過結合醫學手稿研究和現代資訊技術,本系統可以作為改進處方制定原則和現代網絡藥理學之間對話的基礎。
